Carrabelle

Thursday, March 31
Carrabelle
It was another gray day that threatened rain, so we decided to hop further East along the coast to Carrabelle.  As we were sailing out of the bay, we saw the coolest thing.  There were fifty or so little boats all over and they were harvesting oysters.  The men scrape these big heavy “rakes” along the bottom to dislodge the shells, and then haul them up.  It looked like it took tons of strength.
We managed to dodge the bad weather the whole way and tied up at the C Quarters Marina in the early afternoon.  The sun even came out!  We sat on the deck drinking beer and playing with the dog.  It was a great place to stay; we really enjoyed it.
